bubbles, anyone?

Last weekend Weston wanted a bubble bath. Jason had the brilliant idea of turning on the jets in the tub to make it a little more fun... but we had no idea just how many bubbles those jets would actually make. The poor little guy was buried!!
After trying to stand up a few times, Weston decided it would be more fun to sit on daddy's lap and make him a beard!

Sidewalk Artistry

The other day we got out the sidewalk chalk that Aunt Shae-Leigh gave Weston for his birthday. After a few minutes of drawing flowers and other girlie things (I guess I never learned how to do man-doodles), Weston had already lost interest.
Then, along came daddy (who was home for lunch), and boy did they have a good time drawing cars together...
The finishing touches...
Looking with satisfaction at their masterpiece...
Giving Daddy a kiss before he left to head back to work...
I love moments like these... they make things like unmopped floors and piles of laundry seem a little less important!

Loving Daddy... then and now

I recently happened upon this precious picture of Weston just after he was born, warmly cuddled in daddy's arms.
It made my heart melt!
(As does practically every picture of that little stinker)

This one was taken when he was exactly one month old:

Then, just the other day I thought I'd snap a couple pics at the breakfast table. Daddy is reading the paper, pointing things out to Weston, and sharing breakfast.

Are they sweet together or what? :)
